Community Involvement

All of us at AMC Entertainment® are dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities we serve, and beyond. For more than 85 years, we have fostered a long-standing tradition of citizenship and volunteerism. We take pride in the opportunity to share our resources to many worthy and notable causes and join together our approximately 20,000 associates to support volunteer efforts.

National Charitable Partnerships

Our company focuses our charitable efforts where we can achieve the greatest impact. We are proud to collaborate on a national level with two charitable organizations: Variety – The Children’s Charity and the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.

Variety – The Children’s Charity is a national organization devoted to providing real, tangible help to children in need. With a seven-decade legacy of caring for children across the globe, Variety – The Children’s Charity has become the largest and most effective children’s charity in the world. The organization has grown to 51 chapters in 13 countries, raising money to assist in the treatment and care for disabled and disadvantaged children. For further information on Variety – The Children’s Charity, please visit www.usvariety.org.

Founded in 1935, the mission of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation is to perpetuate the memory of Will Rogers as a health charity. The foundation supports the Will Rogers Institute, which is a national health organization dedicated to the support of lung research and development of new treatments and cures for pulmonary diseases and disorders. AMC is a long-time charitable supporter of the foundation and its work through the Will Rogers Institute.

The Will Rogers Institute began as a lodge for entertainers with tuberculosis. Today, it funds four acclaimed research hospitals and twenty fellowships across the U.S. through their summer theatre campaigns. Located in Los Angeles, the Institute is making strides every day in understanding, treating and curing lung diseases and disorders. For further information about the Institute, please visit www.wrinstitute.org.

Movie Passes

As part of our commitment to reward and thank teachers for all they do to educate and inspire our children, AMC partners with film distributors in order to invite teachers throughout the U.S. and Canada* to take part in exclusive opportunities to see select films, free of charge, during designated time periods.

We believe this national outreach effort is the most effective use of our pass program, and therefore we are unable to fulfill any additional pass requests.

* Subject to approval by film distributors.
